Funt time, fun times!

The Boys and Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties, one of the best places to work in the Tri-cities!! This is where I have been the Assistant Director for the last 8 months or so, one of the best positions I have ever had. It's never a dull moment at the club, let me tell you; wether it be parents drama, kids wonderful art pieces that they made just for you...everyday (my office is full of these), or just the silly staff there. This group of staff has been the best, by far, group of people I have had to work with. Anywho, as I was taking pictures around the club, I got called to do something, and left my camera at the front desk with Daniela; by the end of the day, as I picked up my camera to go home, I browsed through the pictures, and found a couple of silly ones! Erin and Daniela took it upon themeselves to add some hilarious pictures to my photo collection. I can't be the only one that will enjoy these pictures, I must share them with everybody! I mean...why else would they take these pictures of themselves if not to post them on my blogspot, which can be viewed worldwide...by millions and millions of people! J/k girls, although possible, it is very unlikely that more than a handful of people will see them. You girls are the best to work with, love ya!

The Perks of Baseball!

So...a few days ago, I posted a blog of having so much fun at opening day in Othello as we watched my nieces and nephew play ball. You can obviously see how much fun the kids had as well. Now I have some sad news...during Aliyah's practice on Monday...she was hit in the face with a ball!! Someone threw it at her and she missed it with her glove, however...her face caught it! Poor thing, she's so tough, there was blood everywhere (even on her new Nike Cleats, as Aime had to mention), she got a fat lip, big bruise on her face and had to be taken into the dentist on emergency...where they gave her a couple of shots and stiches. Through it all, she was so strong, and didn't cry as much as I thought she would or for that matter, as much as I would have! Anyways, here's a picture of her...keep praying for her for a quick recovery and that hopefully she wont give up on this sport...she's actually pretty good! Love you Aliyah, way to be strong!!!

What a day!!

So I'm totally sooo super excited!! I got a brand new bike today...yay! My first real bike! When I was about 8 or 9 years old, my brother nando taught me how to ride a bike without training wheels. He might not remember...but I will never forget it, thanks bro! I owe you one! Anyways, check it out, it's so awesome, I was so excited I almost rode it home from the store...but it was too cold so I had abner drop me off half way home and rode it the rest of the way. We also put the finishing touch in our laundry room. Very exciting day! I better go lay down or I might get carried away with my excitement and do something crazy like go for a midnight ride...

Baseball Season

For those of you who have never been to a T-Ball Baseball game...I HIGHLY recommend it!! Abner and I went to opening day in Othello this last weekend and enjoyed a day in the sun watching my nieces and nephew play ball. I havn't laughed as much as I did on Saturday since...well, it's been to long to remember! Here are a couple of pictures of that day.

My Imaginary Elevator

So I'm sitting in my fourth year of college, not anywhere near to where I'm supposed to be with finishing my degree, and boy does it get harder to continue each day! I have been to 3 different colleges in the last year, and I'm just at the point of giving up! Just when things start looking horrible, bad grades...tons of homework...tons of classes...at the point of saying I'M DONE with this! I decided I needed a break from school, so I took the semester off. BEST choice I've ever made! I'm back in school now, and things are looking great. I'm only taking two classes, but I can proudly say that I am doing very very well in them. Thanks to the loving, understanding and ever so helpful, husband God has provided me, things seem to be going waaaay easier!
I guess I just need to learn to let go of my problems and trust God. My great sister-in-law (sandra), who used to be one of my Y's teachers, once told us that when we have so many problems and feel as if we can't handle it, Don't! She said to just pretend we have this imaginary elevator that we can throw all of our problems in. The best thing about this elevator is that it's only a one way-- UP! So I put these problems (school) in this elevator and sent it straight up to God and said...God, you can, better than I can! Please deal with this! Sure enough...God has provided and I feel as if a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. So thanks sis for that awesome advice that I always carry with me :)

New layout!

I realize it has been a long time since my last blog, and I apologize...life has been so super busy, but loving every minute of it! God continues to bless my family like never before! Abner and I are rapidly approaching our first year anniversary, and boy has it been a great one, full of many blessings! God has provided us, first of all, with our enormous love for each other, a new car, a new house, new jobs, and many many more amazing opportunities! Anyways, the real reality of this blog is to show off my new layout :) Enjoy! P.s...so excited for the first new show of Grey's Anatomy tonight!!! yay!
