Teachers are GREAT!

Yesterday, our church celebrated National Teacher Day for all of the Sunday School teachers. I felt so special...I teach the 5 and 6 years old in my church and love it! Although, at times, they can be too much to handle, most times they're great and I really enjoy what I do. Anyways, my students moms' decided to get my assistant and I some really cool bags that have all of my students names on them...they are adorable, and we absolutely loved them! We also got certificates from the Sunday School leadership and we had an absolute amazing lunch...it was, in the words of Dora the Explorer, "Delicioso!"

My dad also made me an amazing BBQ just b/c I asked him too :) Thanks Dad, ur the best, and that food was G-R-E-A-T!!! Not to mention, one of the best watermelons ever was also served and devoured...here are a couple of pictures from the weekend.

Let the B-B-Quing begin!

Yesterday it was in the 80's...today supposed to be in the 90's...all I can say to that is...Gentlemen...start your BBQ's!!!!! BBQ meat is my absolute favorite with rice, and potato salad...mmmm...makes me salivate just thinking of it! Kinda like Pavlov's dog, when he would started salivating at the sight of food...that's me with BBQ!! So to all of you reading, I tell you, I'll put the BBQ grill and the sides, you bring the meat, and lets do ourselves one mean BBQ!

So ok, this picture was taken late winter, early spring when it was still cold, but you get the hint! These are some of the best bbq-ers I know! My brothers and my Husband whom I love all dearly!

Here's to you, Mom!

In spite of Mother's Day yesterday, I thought I'd post a little about my mom. Here she is with my husband and I and the dress we bought for her. She has been very supportive of Abner and I since we got married and is always trying to help us in any way possible. I wouldn't be what and where I am today if it wasn't for her. A refrigerator magnet once said it best...If God would have let me choose my own Mom, I would have picked her over all the others! My mom is has always lead us by the word of God, which is what I admire most about her. In difficult times, she always turns to God for help. Anyways, I Love you Mom, thanks for being who you are! My Mother-in-Law, not pictured, is also another Great Mother to my husband and I. She raised my amazing husband to be what he is today and I love her for that! To all the mothers out there, you, not only should be appreciated today, but everyday!! Happy Mother's Day to all!

Funt time, fun times!

The Boys and Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties, one of the best places to work in the Tri-cities!! This is where I have been the Assistant Director for the last 8 months or so, one of the best positions I have ever had. It's never a dull moment at the club, let me tell you; wether it be parents drama, kids wonderful art pieces that they made just for you...everyday (my office is full of these), or just the silly staff there. This group of staff has been the best, by far, group of people I have had to work with. Anywho, as I was taking pictures around the club, I got called to do something, and left my camera at the front desk with Daniela; by the end of the day, as I picked up my camera to go home, I browsed through the pictures, and found a couple of silly ones! Erin and Daniela took it upon themeselves to add some hilarious pictures to my photo collection. I can't be the only one that will enjoy these pictures, I must share them with everybody! I mean...why else would they take these pictures of themselves if not to post them on my blogspot, which can be viewed worldwide...by millions and millions of people! J/k girls, although possible, it is very unlikely that more than a handful of people will see them. You girls are the best to work with, love ya!

The Perks of Baseball!

So...a few days ago, I posted a blog of having so much fun at opening day in Othello as we watched my nieces and nephew play ball. You can obviously see how much fun the kids had as well. Now I have some sad news...during Aliyah's practice on Monday...she was hit in the face with a ball!! Someone threw it at her and she missed it with her glove, however...her face caught it! Poor thing, she's so tough, there was blood everywhere (even on her new Nike Cleats, as Aime had to mention), she got a fat lip, big bruise on her face and had to be taken into the dentist on emergency...where they gave her a couple of shots and stiches. Through it all, she was so strong, and didn't cry as much as I thought she would or for that matter, as much as I would have! Anyways, here's a picture of her...keep praying for her for a quick recovery and that hopefully she wont give up on this sport...she's actually pretty good! Love you Aliyah, way to be strong!!!

What a day!!

So I'm totally sooo super excited!! I got a brand new bike today...yay! My first real bike! When I was about 8 or 9 years old, my brother nando taught me how to ride a bike without training wheels. He might not remember...but I will never forget it, thanks bro! I owe you one! Anyways, check it out, it's so awesome, I was so excited I almost rode it home from the store...but it was too cold so I had abner drop me off half way home and rode it the rest of the way. We also put the finishing touch in our laundry room. Very exciting day! I better go lay down or I might get carried away with my excitement and do something crazy like go for a midnight ride...
