New Website!!

I'm so super excited! First of all, b/c the day is getting so close to when I get to go meet my baby boy or girl :) Monday, the 1st will be my ultrasound at 1:5o, I can hardly wait! Second of all, b/c Abner is in the process of creating me my very first website! It will be www.maggiegarza.com , for now though, if you click on that link, it just redirects you to here, my blogspot. Anywho, I came up with the idea of creating a website, that would be kinda like my blog, except my own website. We are doing this thing tonight at church, where we're all supposed to take something as a family that we have done, some sort of talent (examples given were art drawings or picture colliages), to show our thanks to God on this thanksgiving day. Usually famillies just sing a song together, and so we wanted to get out of that same rut. Anyways, so we are in the process of creating this special website that will be dedicated to show my gratitude towards God. I can't wait to have it up and running, I will let you know when that will be. Hopefully today...if not, then there will probably be a really long blog on here that i was going to post on my website. Anyways, you'll see what I'm talking about when I actually have something up! Have a fabulous day!!

My Big Brother :)

Some of you may have heard by now...my brother Phil has been in the hospital since yesterday afternoon :( He was taken to the hospital in Cerralvo, Mx. yesterday because he was not feeling well and not looking well. Delma, along with my parents, took him to McAllen, Tx, where he currently is staying in the hospital there. He is in a lot of pain at times, and the Dr's have said they have found some stones, but are still observing him before they will consider operating. Anywho...I ask you all to please pray for him. He sounds ok when we talk to him on the phone, but I know that deep down inside, he is terrified....who wouldn't be in his shoes? We are all scared, and praying that God will give him a quick recovery. May it be as simple as just stones and may he be healed quickly. We will be heading down to Mexico in two weeks (yes 2 weeks, I'm stoked!!), and I would like to go visit him at his house in San Benito...not in a hospital. So please, as you read this blog, please take 30 seconds out of your day and ask for strength for Delma (she too is scared and nervous), and a quick recovery for phil. Here is a picture of my brother and his wife, Delma, so you can have a picture of him in your head when you pray for him. And bro, if you're reading this, just keep in mind that the only reason I posted this is b/c I know that there is power when God's people pray! I love you very much and please remember that Abner and I are here for whatever you may need. May God be with you in your surgery and recovery. Hang in there, God will have the victory in this one. See you soon!!

Just a little Rave :)

So I just wanted to post a quick blog about my new favorite restuarant. It's called El Asadero and it's located in a little tiny area on Court St. They have the best darn tacos a gal could ever ask for! They also have great aguacate along with the meals. And the best thing is that it's pretty inexpensive :)

So on another note...I've had this pretty bad headache all day today, it seems like it's almost going away, but it's still there... As soon as I got home from work, I took a couple of tylenol and my husband gave me a nice long massage, and it felt really nice. I really appreciate having such a wonderful husband. I dont know where I'd be without him :) Thanks Babe for all you do and all your hard work to keep me happy, I Love You!!

Thank You Lord!!

So...as promised, here are some pictures from our "Thanksgiving" day at my mom's house. We had so much fun, we played skipbo, phase 10 and just had many good laughs together. All of our immediate family was there and Roy and Miti and their family also joined us. The turkey, what can I say? It was, in the famous words of Dora the Explorer..."Delicioso!!!" We also had mashed potato, rice pelof, stuffing, corn, and lots and lots of desert! I have even included a picture of my pumpkin bars, which by the way, did come out as good as they smelled!!! Over all, it was a great time, and I thank God for giving us this opportunity to have our family there as a whole, with no one missing and everybody in good health. We are very pleased with what the Lord has blessed us all with this year, a million thank you's could not suffice :)

On another note...since yesterday afternoon I have been feeling this little flutter in my tummy. I'm so excited to be starting to feel my baby moving inside of me! It usually happens after lunch I have noticed. Yesterday also marked 4 months...woohoo!! Thank God for yet, another wonderful blessing!!

Can harldy contain my excitement!

So I just had to post a real quick blog this morning and say that I am sooooo super excited!! We are having Turkey Today!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why, so early, you might ask...b/c my folks and my brother and his family are taking off to the great land of San Benito, Mexico tomorrow, and it's a tradition we have every year. We always have thanksgiving about 2 weeks early so we can at least have thanksgiving as a family. Quite honestly, in my opinion, I think we should a thanksgiving feast at least once a month! (That just might be my pregnant side talking though :) ) Anyways, I got up this morning (thank God we have the day off today for those Amazing Veterans!) and decided to make some pumpkin bars to take to our feast tonight. I have put them in the oven, and boy oh boy! They sure do smell good!!!! I only hope they taste as good as they smell! Anyways, I will definately be taking pictures tonight of our amazing feast and will definately put some up for all to slobber over! :) Have an amazing day and THANK GOD FOR THOSE VETERANS!!

Before I forget....Aime sent me a picture last night of Aliyah playing her brand new drums...I just had to post it. Aliyah is so super stoked! (That means excited, for all you fogies out there) I can't wait to go and see her play them.

Cherishable Memories...

Had another Dr. appt today :) Baby's heart beat was at 146 beats per minute, which was perfect the Dr. said. She also scheduled me for an ultrasound for December 1st! Woohoo!! I thought I was going to have to wait till we got back from Mexico to discover the gender of this wonderful creature growing inside of me, but nope, I'll be able to find out in just 3 weeks, I'm super duper excited. I will definately post the ultra sound pics when I get them in and keep ya'll updated!

Anywho, have I ever mentioned that I have some of the cutest darned nephews a gal could ever ask for! Welly, Benjamin, Brandon, Bryson, Jonah, Joshua, Aaron and Hector, yes, each very cute and handsome in their own individual way. Well, we went to Bryson's 5th birthday party a few weeks ago, where he unbashfuly, performed several songs for us. It was the cutest thing ever, you had to have been there! And since some of you were not, and even if you were there, I'm sure you'll never get tired of seeing it like me, I have decided to post a little video clip of it. Ben mentioned it in his blog the other day, but he did not have the video available, so I decided I should post it, b/c everybody should have the priviledge of seeing... the Next American Idol :)

Feeling great :)

So today marks week 15!! Woohoo...one more week and I'll be 4 months!!! I just wanted to share with you all that I'm so grateful for having a blog, although there may not be many of you who read this, I enjoy doing this for myself. My sister asked me today if I was keeping a journal of my pregnancy, and it got me thinking. That's a great idea! I can write down how and/or what I feel everyday, and express myself throughout my pregnancy...then I thought, duh! I post everything on my blog!! So, like I said, I discovered today, that I enjoy to blog mostly for myself :) I have been meaning to write everything down so that when I actually have the time to continue with my scrapbooking, I am able to remember all the things that have happend. What better to "write things down" then to put them on here and share with the world!
Thanks to God, it has been 15 awesome weeks! I have felt great, of course there are those days where my stomach feels like it's streching so far it's gonna tear or when I'm so tired to even change my clothes or those days that I feel like one of those starving kids on the t.v. even though I just ate like an hour ago. The good news is, overall, God has blessed me with an amazing pregnancy and I am forever grateful! I pray that when I do get my ultrasound done in a few months, everything will be as good as I feel :) Have a blessed night everybody!
