90 Degrees on Christmas!!!!

While most of you reading are putting up with the cold weather and snow...I sit here on my father in law's front porch in San Benito Mexico in 90 degree weather...and boy, am I loving it!! I got to wear a tank top with shorts and flip flops today, it's so nice out! I am sadly enjoying my last week here as we shall be returning to the cold weathered state of Washington next week. I hope you all had an awesome christmas and that you will have a fabulous new years as well. We are having a great time here, eating at Las Enramadas, having raspas, riding four wheelers (slowly of course), even hanging out clothes out on the line to dry is something I'm enjoying! I do have one sad note to report...a few days ago, my camera stopped working, it just stopped, it won't even turn on, without any warning, I cried for a day or two and then my mom so graciously offered me to use her camera, since she doesn't use it much. Whew...what a life saver! I have about 500+ pictures on my camera right now ready to be downloaded, but Abner's laptop won't read my memory card, so I'll have to post some up when I get home...sorry! Anywho, I bettter get going inside, it's getting dark and the mosquitos are really starting to come out! I still love it! By the way, our baby is continuing to grow and I have felt her kick and move everyday since I've been here, it's such an awesome feeling! I find it God's way of letting me know she's doing just fine. Thank God I haven't came down with any kind of cold and fever, it seems like everybody here has! So please pray for our safe trip home and God bless you all!

43 Hours later...

We made it!!! We have reached Mission, Tx and we're here at my sister-in-law Sandra's house. Which, by the way, is a gorgeous house, this is my first time here, and I am truly impressed! After a very long 43 hours on the road, we have finally arrived to Texas. We will be going to Mexico tomorrow. I will probably not have time or a chance to post another blog until we get back home...oh well!! So for now...I wish everybody a happy holiday and may they be blessed tremendously. By the way...it was about 80 degrees when we got here at 11:30 this morning :)

The little booties are from Tio Ben and Tia Martha, the package of 3 onesies are from mommy and daddy and the little polka dot outfit is from my secret pal at work :) I am loving all this pink!! Hurray for girls!

He is the man of my dreams and I am the luckiest girl in the world :) By the way, sorry this is so long, but like the last line says, this list could literally be never-ending.

The Verdict is in!

Aside from the day I married my best friend, today has been the best day in a long time! First, I went to my ultra sound and found out we are having a baby GIRL!!! We're sooo super excited! We then went out to dinner with Ben and Martha to celebrate, where they gave me a little pair of slippers, they are so stinken adorable, I can't wait to put them on my baby! I then of course, had to go to the store and buy my baby girl her very first gift from us...three little onsies, one says I Love Mommy, the other I love Daddy, and the other Love Me. Anyways, the Dr. said she weighs about 8 ounces, about 7 inches long and looks beautiful! He did have one concern, but we're trusting in God that everything will be just fine, and that it was really nothing. My baby girl, she's a hyper one, she was moving and moving throughout the whole ultra sound, it was sooo cute! I'm falling in love with her already! Anyways, the best thing to happen today, that just topped off the whole day happend about 15 minutes ago...I was sitting up here with my hubby watching him play Halo as I was complaining about my laptop...and I felt her moving, like really moving, not just flutters! I quickly put my hand over where I felt her, and I could feel her with my hand, I said, HUN...FEEL!! Sure enough, Abner was able to feel our baby girl for the first time! It was so exciting!! It's starting to all feel so real now :)

This weekend!

Wow...so many things over the weekend, I dont know where to start! Actually, I do, the only thing that has been constantly on my mind all weekend and especially last night is that Today is the BIG day!! Today, I get to meet my baby growing inside of me :) Please pray that he/she will be healthy and that we will also be able to see if it is in fact a he or a she.
Thursday we had a "thanksgiving" dinner at our house with Aime and Mak and girls, Johanna and Misa and kids, Barby, Jacob and Jeremiah, and Nando and victor, it was a lot of fun! Friday, we had lunch with Abner's brothers and their wives, also much fun! Saturday, was probably the best day of the weekend, my brother Phil was released from the Hospital...woohoo!! Thank God!! Sunday, we were in church all day and that was great too :)
Yesterday, I must say, was a great day, surrounded by people I love. It also, felt a little like Christmas! Our compadres, Fidel and Mari, gave us a really nice big George Foreman Grill for christamas...I'm so excited to try it out! Then, after crying to my sister in laws on Friday b/c nothing in my closet fit me b/c of my ever-growing body, they were kind enough to shop for me as I was unable to. These gals are great! I was so overwhelmed last night with all the clothes they bought, and let me tell you, I can be 100% truthful when I say, I Loved all the clothes they picked out for me :) I felt like a little kid again when I was trying everything on, not only was it all super cute, it also fit great! Thank you girls so much for doing this, you have lifted my spirits so much :)
So anyways, I will definately post tonight or tomorrow about my Dr. visit today..I can't wait, my ultra sound is at 2!!!

New Website!!

I'm so super excited! First of all, b/c the day is getting so close to when I get to go meet my baby boy or girl :) Monday, the 1st will be my ultrasound at 1:5o, I can hardly wait! Second of all, b/c Abner is in the process of creating me my very first website! It will be www.maggiegarza.com , for now though, if you click on that link, it just redirects you to here, my blogspot. Anywho, I came up with the idea of creating a website, that would be kinda like my blog, except my own website. We are doing this thing tonight at church, where we're all supposed to take something as a family that we have done, some sort of talent (examples given were art drawings or picture colliages), to show our thanks to God on this thanksgiving day. Usually famillies just sing a song together, and so we wanted to get out of that same rut. Anyways, so we are in the process of creating this special website that will be dedicated to show my gratitude towards God. I can't wait to have it up and running, I will let you know when that will be. Hopefully today...if not, then there will probably be a really long blog on here that i was going to post on my website. Anyways, you'll see what I'm talking about when I actually have something up! Have a fabulous day!!

My Big Brother :)

Some of you may have heard by now...my brother Phil has been in the hospital since yesterday afternoon :( He was taken to the hospital in Cerralvo, Mx. yesterday because he was not feeling well and not looking well. Delma, along with my parents, took him to McAllen, Tx, where he currently is staying in the hospital there. He is in a lot of pain at times, and the Dr's have said they have found some stones, but are still observing him before they will consider operating. Anywho...I ask you all to please pray for him. He sounds ok when we talk to him on the phone, but I know that deep down inside, he is terrified....who wouldn't be in his shoes? We are all scared, and praying that God will give him a quick recovery. May it be as simple as just stones and may he be healed quickly. We will be heading down to Mexico in two weeks (yes 2 weeks, I'm stoked!!), and I would like to go visit him at his house in San Benito...not in a hospital. So please, as you read this blog, please take 30 seconds out of your day and ask for strength for Delma (she too is scared and nervous), and a quick recovery for phil. Here is a picture of my brother and his wife, Delma, so you can have a picture of him in your head when you pray for him. And bro, if you're reading this, just keep in mind that the only reason I posted this is b/c I know that there is power when God's people pray! I love you very much and please remember that Abner and I are here for whatever you may need. May God be with you in your surgery and recovery. Hang in there, God will have the victory in this one. See you soon!!

Just a little Rave :)

So I just wanted to post a quick blog about my new favorite restuarant. It's called El Asadero and it's located in a little tiny area on Court St. They have the best darn tacos a gal could ever ask for! They also have great aguacate along with the meals. And the best thing is that it's pretty inexpensive :)

So on another note...I've had this pretty bad headache all day today, it seems like it's almost going away, but it's still there... As soon as I got home from work, I took a couple of tylenol and my husband gave me a nice long massage, and it felt really nice. I really appreciate having such a wonderful husband. I dont know where I'd be without him :) Thanks Babe for all you do and all your hard work to keep me happy, I Love You!!

Thank You Lord!!

So...as promised, here are some pictures from our "Thanksgiving" day at my mom's house. We had so much fun, we played skipbo, phase 10 and just had many good laughs together. All of our immediate family was there and Roy and Miti and their family also joined us. The turkey, what can I say? It was, in the famous words of Dora the Explorer..."Delicioso!!!" We also had mashed potato, rice pelof, stuffing, corn, and lots and lots of desert! I have even included a picture of my pumpkin bars, which by the way, did come out as good as they smelled!!! Over all, it was a great time, and I thank God for giving us this opportunity to have our family there as a whole, with no one missing and everybody in good health. We are very pleased with what the Lord has blessed us all with this year, a million thank you's could not suffice :)

On another note...since yesterday afternoon I have been feeling this little flutter in my tummy. I'm so excited to be starting to feel my baby moving inside of me! It usually happens after lunch I have noticed. Yesterday also marked 4 months...woohoo!! Thank God for yet, another wonderful blessing!!

Can harldy contain my excitement!

So I just had to post a real quick blog this morning and say that I am sooooo super excited!! We are having Turkey Today!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why, so early, you might ask...b/c my folks and my brother and his family are taking off to the great land of San Benito, Mexico tomorrow, and it's a tradition we have every year. We always have thanksgiving about 2 weeks early so we can at least have thanksgiving as a family. Quite honestly, in my opinion, I think we should a thanksgiving feast at least once a month! (That just might be my pregnant side talking though :) ) Anyways, I got up this morning (thank God we have the day off today for those Amazing Veterans!) and decided to make some pumpkin bars to take to our feast tonight. I have put them in the oven, and boy oh boy! They sure do smell good!!!! I only hope they taste as good as they smell! Anyways, I will definately be taking pictures tonight of our amazing feast and will definately put some up for all to slobber over! :) Have an amazing day and THANK GOD FOR THOSE VETERANS!!

Before I forget....Aime sent me a picture last night of Aliyah playing her brand new drums...I just had to post it. Aliyah is so super stoked! (That means excited, for all you fogies out there) I can't wait to go and see her play them.

Cherishable Memories...

Had another Dr. appt today :) Baby's heart beat was at 146 beats per minute, which was perfect the Dr. said. She also scheduled me for an ultrasound for December 1st! Woohoo!! I thought I was going to have to wait till we got back from Mexico to discover the gender of this wonderful creature growing inside of me, but nope, I'll be able to find out in just 3 weeks, I'm super duper excited. I will definately post the ultra sound pics when I get them in and keep ya'll updated!

Anywho, have I ever mentioned that I have some of the cutest darned nephews a gal could ever ask for! Welly, Benjamin, Brandon, Bryson, Jonah, Joshua, Aaron and Hector, yes, each very cute and handsome in their own individual way. Well, we went to Bryson's 5th birthday party a few weeks ago, where he unbashfuly, performed several songs for us. It was the cutest thing ever, you had to have been there! And since some of you were not, and even if you were there, I'm sure you'll never get tired of seeing it like me, I have decided to post a little video clip of it. Ben mentioned it in his blog the other day, but he did not have the video available, so I decided I should post it, b/c everybody should have the priviledge of seeing... the Next American Idol :)

Feeling great :)

So today marks week 15!! Woohoo...one more week and I'll be 4 months!!! I just wanted to share with you all that I'm so grateful for having a blog, although there may not be many of you who read this, I enjoy doing this for myself. My sister asked me today if I was keeping a journal of my pregnancy, and it got me thinking. That's a great idea! I can write down how and/or what I feel everyday, and express myself throughout my pregnancy...then I thought, duh! I post everything on my blog!! So, like I said, I discovered today, that I enjoy to blog mostly for myself :) I have been meaning to write everything down so that when I actually have the time to continue with my scrapbooking, I am able to remember all the things that have happend. What better to "write things down" then to put them on here and share with the world!
Thanks to God, it has been 15 awesome weeks! I have felt great, of course there are those days where my stomach feels like it's streching so far it's gonna tear or when I'm so tired to even change my clothes or those days that I feel like one of those starving kids on the t.v. even though I just ate like an hour ago. The good news is, overall, God has blessed me with an amazing pregnancy and I am forever grateful! I pray that when I do get my ultrasound done in a few months, everything will be as good as I feel :) Have a blessed night everybody!

A definate must have!

Over-protective, you may say...just plain crazy, maybe? Nah...just wanting to keep a close eye on my new baby :) Abner and I came across these really cool baby monitors that I JUST have to have once our new baby comes into this world! It's a camera with night vision and sound, with a portable monitor. I figure that I will surely want to keep my house clean and the quitest place to keep baby will be upstairs in his/her room. This portable baby monitor is perfect! I can cary the hand held monitor with me downstairs, do my chores, and still keep an eye on my sleeping angel! Anyways, just thought I'd share this, what do you think? Yay or nay?

The Beat is On!!!

Congrats were in order today at the ESD as we celebrated the launch of our new website, which Abner had a huge part of!! I am so proud of him, after so many long tiresome hours and many headaches, he has finally finished the website, it's a very nice one at that too! You can check it out at www.esd123.org...

Abner and I were very, extremely excited today!!! We got to hear our baby's heart beat for the first time today! At 164 beats a minute, the Dr. said, and I quote, "...according to an old wives tale, your having a girl!" The good news is that our baby sounded very healthy! The bad news is, I wanted to get an ultra sound done (to see what the sex is) before we went to Mexico, but we just might have to wait till we get back...oh well!! All that matters is that it will be a healthy baby, no matter what the sex may be :) The best news so far, is that I am still feeling great, no nausea, no vomiting...just hungry and sleepy, and I can definately deal with that! Thanks for all your prayers, please, keep them coming!!

Family...what a great thing!!

Family is Great! You never notice how wonderful of a thing it is, until you are in need of something, and there is your family, willing and able to help you out. Not everybody has the priviledge of having a caring family that will be at your every need. I do, and I'm very grateful for it. First and foremost, my immediately family, my husband, he is sooo awesome!! He helps with anything and everything he possibly can so that I am not pushing myself too hard and I dont get tired, thanks honey, I Love you!! Then, there's my parents and brothers and sisters (yes Delma and Mak, this includes you too)...you never really notice until you throw a big party and realize you can't do it on your own. My sister just had a party for her baby girl, and amazingly enough, each of my brothers, my parents, and my husband and I were there to help with whatever she needed, it's so awesome. Just the feeling of knowing that you're not alone! Anyways, here are a couple pictures of this generosity in action and I just had to throw a picture in there of the awesome pinata my sister made with the help of her husband and girls for the party...way to go sis!!!

11 Weeks Today :)

First and foremost...I need to say, I had my first big scare yesterday with my pregnancy. Thank God, everything seems to be going ok. However, just to be on the safe side, I decided to stay home today and get some rest! I spent most of the day yesterday holding back my tears (to not scare anybody, including myself) and praying! Thanks to God, I feel much better and I can't wait till my next appointment on Monday, when we get to hear my baby's hearbeat for the first time!!! I am 11 weeks today...just about three months, hurray!! So, please, continue to pray for baby and us, we would really appreciate it!

So, Sunday afternoon I was off to Chelan for some certification trainings...it was the worst 3 days of my life, I didn't get back till Tuesday afternoon. Why, you ask, was it so horrible?? Because, I had to go with another co-worker, and I slept in a hotel room all by myself, and my husband stayed home...I missed my honeybunch!!! Needless to say, I'm glad to be home! Although the hotel room was very nice as was Chelan (cold, but nice), I missed my Abner horribly :( Here's a pic of the hotel...

Follow ME!!

Ok...so I think this is pretty cool...I get on my blog today, and it tells me that Sandra is "following my blog!!" How cool is that??! So anyways, you should all "follow me," all you have to do is click right above Sandra's little picture, on the right hand side, where it says, follow this blog. Violia! You are now following my blog, and you will be able to be updated on my blog :) Isn't that great! Anyways, have a fantastic Friday!!

How time flies!

Oh my, how fast they grow up!! Seems like just yesterday I was carrying these two little boogers in my arms just minutes after they were born...and now, here they are turning one!! Aiden Xavier, my ever-so-handsome Godson, and Aimee Maelynn, my beautiful niece, are celebrating their birthdays. They both are very very special to me and I hope that my kids are just as gorgeous as they are!! We were able to make it to Aiden's birthday party last Sunday, but unfortanately, we will have to miss Aimee Mae's b/c I have to make a trip to Chelan for work...sorry big Aime, I wish I could be there to help! Maybe next year, huh! Anyways, here are some pictures of these two, enjoy!

Tired of being Tired!

Well, the good news is I'm still not leaning over the toilet every day, the bad news is...I'm always looking for a place to lay my head b/c I'm so darn sleepy!!! There is no way possible I can stay awake later than 9 pm every night, as a matter of fact, I'm about in my third dream by that time!! At first, I was absolutely loving going to bed so early, but now...I just feel....ugh...exhausted, all the time! I'm tired of being tired!!! Oh well, it's like I told my Dr. I would much rather be sleeping in my comfy bed then leaning my head over the toilet!! So for now, that's all...it's 8:33...and I can't seem to concentratate on what I'm saying or doing, that's the first sign that it's time for bed! So have a goodnight everybody, and please, keep those prayers rolling my way for continued health!! May the Lord bless you guys much more than he has blessed me (which is a whole lot by the way)!!

Our Baby!!

So here he/she is!!! The first picture of our beautiful baby!!!! The doctor told me I was exactly 7 weeks 6 days pregnant :) My due date is May 1, 2009, right before mother's day!! Although, there was only one baby, I'm glad it's a healthy one!!! Up until today, I was still in somewhat of a denial and I wasn't too convinced that it could be true...sure enough, I saw the heart beat of my baby beating 162 times per minute, now I'm convinced! My next appointment is October 13, and I'll get to hear the it's tiny heart beating for the very first time, yay! For now, I'm still doing great, no kind of sickness or nausea, aside from feeling very, very tired alot, I'm doing great, thanks to God!! I would much rather be tired and sleeping then sick and leaning over the toilet! So thanks to everybody for your prayers, and please, keep them coming! P.S. I posted this picture the right way...I'm not too sure why it keeps flipping on it's side...sorry!

Thank YOU Jesus!!

What is this thing of beauty you may ask? This my friends, is a 2007 Sexy Red Toyota Tacoma that the Lord in Heaven has so graciously blessed us with!! As concieted as I may sound right now, you just don't understand how long I have been wanting a toyota tacoma...and now, my husband has made this, like many other things, possible for me :) Here are a few pictures of amazingly gorgeous truck...enjoy!!

A-ok!

So...the doctor gave me a very estimated due date of april 23...puting me right around 8 weeks! However, like I said, that was a huge guess, so to be certain of how far along I am, I will be getting my very first ultrasound on Tuesday, the 16th!! Yay!!! I'm so excited to see a picture of my new baby, but for now, this picture that I have here will have to do, I found it on the internet. This baby is at approximately 7 or 8 weeks, where my baby probably is... Incredible, huh?!

Anywho...another set of good news...we are getting our very own 2007 cherry red Toyota Tacoma!!! Yay...we are going (God willing, of course) to go and pick it up tomorrow in Spokane! Hurray...we're so excited! Now I just ask that you take a minute of your life and say a prayer for us...pray that God will be with us physically, so that our baby and myself can stay healthy and that God be with us financially to be able to pay the payment on this new truck and afford a new baby!!!! So, I will maybe post pictures tomorrow or saturday of our new pickup, so stay tuned!!!

It's finally here...

Just a quick post to share with everybody that I have my very first dr. appt. today!!! It's at 10:30 this morning, then I'll be going back to work. So, I'll post another blog tonight to keep you guys updated! Pray for us as we start on this new adventure!!!!!

Bummed...

So...I feel really bad right now and absolutely useless as I write this blog...my husband has been working very hard all weekend on designing our closet, and I can't help him, and I hate it. He won't let me anywhere near all the paint fumes, so as he works so hard upstairs on our closet, I'm just sitting down here, hoping and wishing there was something I can help him with!!! Oh well, such is life! Don't worry hun, in a couple of months I'll be good and ready to tackle any project with you! Thanks for all you do babe, you are the greatest husband ever and I thank God for you everyday! I'll keep this one short, b/c I know you hate to read long blogs! :)

P.S. Pictures will come later...

Surprise, Surpise!

So here it goes...a brand new adventure...a story to tell, in fact, many stories to tell! Yes, it IS true....Abner and I are....yup, you guessed it, pregnant!! I know, I know, coming from us, that's a huge shock! But believe me, we're still in shock, disbelief and somewhat in denial of the whole thing ourselves!! I went to WIC last night and they told me that I was about 9 weeks pregnant...I honestly think I'm more like 5 or 6 weeks, but I guess we'll know for sure when I go to my first dr visit in September. Anywho, I have been praying and crying for the last week, since I found out. It's something we were not expecting at all, and so I ask God to help us through this whole thing. Don't get me wrong, we are very excited, but we just don't want to get to excited until we know everything is going to be ok! So I leave you guys with a couple favors to ask: 1) Please, when you see Abner or I or when you talk to us, don't congratulate us...saying something more like, that's cool, I'm happy for you guys, please, dont say congratulations! lol...I know that sounds negative, but we just feel kinda awkward when people say that to us. Anyways, 2) please help us to pray, pray for health, pray for wisdom and most of all pray for TWINS!!!!

Lord Empty Me

So it's pretty early in the morning, and all I can think about lately is how GREAT my God is! How he has poured blessing over blessing upon our lives, and yet, for some reason, we still fail him every time!! Why?? I ask myself, why, if we know the consequences, if we know how good it is to be completely emptied of ourselves and filled with the love of God. No other experience in the world seems to be of importance if it's not shared with the creator of you and me, the creator of the world, the creator of everything in this universe. The song by Chris Sligh, has touched my heart dramatically since the first time I heard, it has rapidly become my all time favorite song it says,
"And I've tasted my share of the sweet life and the wild ride
And found a little is not quite enough.
I know how I can stray
And how fast my heart could change.

Empty me of the selfishness inside
Every vain ambition and the poison of my pride
And any foolish thing my heart holds to
Lord empty me of me so I can be filled with you."

That's just a little part of the song, but it just gets me every time...and every time I hear, I can't help but cry and say...God Please..empty ME!! When going through a time in life that I was not prepared for, that we hadn't planned for, I sometimes find myself asking, how are we going to do this, what's going to happen, this wasn't planned, what if we can't make it....after hearing this song, it makes me feel so selfish...it's not in my plan, but it's in God's plan, and God's plan is the only one that really matters.
So as I start my day today, I just want to ask God to please, empty me and fill me with your love, so that I can be a shining spotlight for all to see!! And instead of complaining of worrying today, I'm gonna say Thank You LORD!!!

Waiting...

So as I sit here at work, cotemplating all of the things that have happend recently, I decided I would write a blog. I have about 5 or so minutes still that I have to wait for Abner to get off. Anyways, it's been pretty good working alongside my husband...we dont get to see eachother much as some people thought we would. Actually, the only time we actually carry on a conversation is during lunch, so it's pretty nice. I know exactly where he is and how I can get a hold of him if I need something which is good. Some husbands might think that would be a nuisance, but I promise...I dont bother him very much at all.

Anywho...I know a lot of you are reading my blog waiting for me to announce something on here that many of you have already heard...well...too bad!! No announcement yet! For those of you who dont know yet, there is reasoning behind it, and I will very surly be blogging about after the second week of September...for sure! So for those of you who I have left hanging...check back in two weeks! And for those of you who already know, well you too can also check back in two weeks and find out just how things are going with that :)

Anyways, I hate to post without putting a picture, and seeing that I dont have anything to go along with this blog, I will leave you with a picture of one of my favorite nieces...Aimee Mae, she is just getting humungous and I love her more to peaces every day!

If you havn't gotten it yet from my previous posts....I LOVE to swim! Anywho...on Sunday we spent the day at Wonderland where we got to go on the go karts, play minature golf, play some lazer tag, and play some arcade games. It was a ton of fun...here are a couple of pictures from this weekend, but before I go, I'd like to make a special shout out to my Bro, Nando, who let us stay in his apt this weekend, saving us 100 bucks on a hotel! You Rock bro! Thanks for all you do, you're the greatest!

My favorite thing

Besides spending time with my awesome husband, my most favoritist thing in the world to do is swim. I absolutely love to swim on a hot day especially. This summer I have had the chance to swim about 5 or 6 times. At hotels, an indoor pool, and Othello's public pool. Most of the time I have been able to go swimming with my nieces, whom I adore! Here is a picture of one of the times I went swimming with Aimee Mae, she just loves to swim, almost as much as I do. As a matter of fact, one of her first words was "Agua!" She learned to say that as she splashed her hands in the water. The other picture is of Anissa and Miah enjoying the water. Anywho...hope you guys are all enjoying your summer, make the best of it, b/c it's almost over :(

God's Amazing Creations!

At around 10:00 pm last night, I laid myself down to, what I thought was going to be another amazing, peaceful night of rest....boy was I wrong! I woke up at 11:30 last night to what sounded like an enormous bear right outside of my window...I very quickly cuddled up next to Abner and said...Hun...what was that?? He says, oh it's just thunder...just thunder?! I thought, yea right, I was scared out of my wits for about 45 minutes. I spent that whole hour praying to God continuously to not let my house or that of my neighbors catch on fire! The lightening was literally striking right outside my window! I have NEVER in my life heard thunder roll over so loudly before, it was the scariest thing of my life. I kept wondering, if this is what it might be like when God gets angry...boy, I sure hope it wasn't me he was angry at! Anywho, the lightening did start a few fires, but they were controlled before they could cause too much damage. So here is an amazing picture ( I didnt take it) of the lightening last night. Enjoy and keep praying for my house b/c it looks like the lightening wants to come back!! :(

Hey Kids SYP

The worst question I hate to answer is...where do you work? I hate it b/c I say I work with Hey Kids! and 99.9% of the time, I'll get the second most dreaded question...what's that? Ugh....well anyways...I had a blast today at work. My job title is Coordinator of the Hey Kids Summer Youth Program. It's only a part time summer job. We do 8 weeks of program at 6 different sites around Othello. We 6 different presenters for 6 weeks and the other two weeks we go fishing and we go to the wildlife refuge.
Anyways...today was our 4th day to the wildlife refuge and I found this little guy just crawling around...so I had to pick him up :) The kids each had a turn touching him, it was fun. It's a black beetle, check him out, I named him Blacky :)

Oh my, how the time flies!

July 21, 2007...that, by far, has been the best day of my life, this day, my friends, I married my best friend, my partner for life! My loving husband, Abner has made me the happiest person ever. God has blessed our lives with so many amazing things in one year, it's hard to count and/or mention all of them!
Anywho, Abner and I had the chance to go to Leavenworth this weekend for our anniversary, we had a blast! We went miniture golfing, watched a movie and went to a dam and saw some fish jumping! It was fun to do so many things. My favorite thing, by far, however, was the time spent in the car with Abner, just chatting. I Love him so much, he truly completes my life and I couldn't have asked for a better person to share my life with. He spoils me rotten, he loves me more than I could ever imagine, and I can honestly say that I am the happiest person in the world. A lot of people say that your first year of marriage is the toughest, well, I'm here to say that, we have had our downs, but this has been the best year of my life. We are truly happier every day that goes by. Thanks to God, for all of our love and blessings he has provided.

Camping!

Our Garza side of the family decided to take a weekend camping trip over the 4th of July weekend. Aside from the 13 kids and 13 adults, we had a pretty good time. We got eating alive by the stinkin' mosquitos, but we had fun! We did a lot of just sitting around and playing cards or talking, but that was the best part, to just relax!! We attempted to go up and check out Mt. St. Helens, but the road was blocked...So anywho, here are a few pictures from this weekend, enjoy! You can also check out my myspace for more pictures.... www.myspace.com/maggiegarza

Growing up...

So after so many failed attempts...on Thursday, July 3, I recieved a phone call from Shelly, who will be my new supervisor at the ESD 123! She called to offer me a position as the receptionist. I'm so excited...I will finally have a real full time job! One that will also help me pay for my school. Speaking of which, I will be a very busy woman beginning in the Fall, not only will I be working full time, but I will also be attending some night classes...it'll be tough, but with God and my awesome husband by my side, I can do it! So I will finish at my current position on August 15th, and will be starting at the ESD full time in August....I can't wait, I'm so excited!

New Compadres and a new Table!!

Woot, Woot!! I got my gorgeous table today...FINALLY!!!! It's so beautiful in fact, that I was already in bed, and I thought, what?! I havn't posted pictures of my awesome table so the world can see them yet! So I jumped out of bed just for you guys ;) Anyways, here it is, finally, the one piece of furniture I have been waiting for the most! The furniture store also threw in a really cool painting for us too, that we have now added to our walls as well!! Now, I can invite you guys over for dinner and not be embarrased of my tiny, scratched table! I am super duper excited as you can tell, and can't wait to share my new table with family and friends! Oh, and it's round (as you can see), so it makes for one perfect conversation table....or SkipBo table! hahaha

Anywho, this sunday, was also the dedication of my wonderful, very handsome, ladies man of a Godson, Aiden Xavier! We love this little boy to death and feel very priviladged that our awesome, awesome friends chose us to be their baby boy's second parents :D Thanks Mari and Fidel for this awesome experience, I just hope that we can live up to our promise of always loving him and caring for him and instructing him in God's path. We love you guys!

Amazing Kids!!!

Well...I dont have much to say but I have some of the cutest nieces and nephew a gal could ever ask for! Here are 2 of the....15 (wow, that's a ton; Jonah, Joshua, Micaela, Benjamin, Brandon, Bryson, Madylynn, Lil Hector, Vianney, Breana, Aaron, Wellie, Aliyah, Anissa and AimeMae), nieces and nehpews that I have. Just look at Bryson, I can hear him right now...hey bryson..."what!" Just the way he talks, the way he smiles and looks at you...it melts your heart. I swear, if he were to say, Tia Maggie, can you buy me a car, I would say, just one Bryson?? And Aime Mae...my baby princess...althought she doesnt like me very much right now, I absolutely adore her! She will grow to love me once she realizes what her sisters know...if they need to sell something for missionettes or school or whatever, she can always count on her Tia Maggie...even if I have to pay $8 for a stinkin box of donoughts that I threw away the next day! Anyways, I absolutely, positively, for sure, love each and every single one of these little boogers, they have stolen my heart! Since most of them can't read, please, parents(Ben, Josh, Aime, phil), pass this message on to your kids ; if they ever need absolutely anything, anything in the world, they should not ever hesitate to call me! :)

Querido Papa!

Father's Day...what can I say? I could go on about how everyday should be Father's day and we shouldn't only celebrate once a year...but we all know that already, right! But really, I wouldn't be who I am today, if it wasn't for my dad's strict guidance. Although at times I didn't know how much of his "strictness' I could take, I'm glad I was raised the way that I was. I couldn't have asked for a better dad, and the way I was raised. I truly am blessed to have the family that I do. To this day, my two brothers, sister, and myself all praise and worship God b/c of the guidance of our father and mother. So on this day, I just want to tell my dad that I love him and that he had been the best support, guidance and rock my family and I could have ever asked for. Thanks dad for all your hard work to keep pulling our family forward!

So many things...such little time!

Wow...it's only the second week of June, and it seems as if sooo many things have already happend! It's incredible when you begin to think about how fast the days actually pass you by...Anyways, lets see what I can remember. Of course, on the 1st, as I mentioned in the last blog, was Abner's Birthday :) Just 2 days later on the 3rd, my dear uncle Ricardo (mom's brother) passed to be with God. It was a very sad occasion, but you can see how much he was really loved. We had a ton of relatives come down to comfort eachother. Although we are grieving now, we know that he is only "sleeping" and one day when God decides to come back for his town, he will arise and we will meet with him again in God's house, soon.

Friday, the 6th, my very dear dear brother-in-law Eric graduated!! Yay, way to go bro! He was the last of 5 kids who graduated and we are so proud of him. Now he's off to EWU (Go Big Red, Go Eagles!!) Remember that we are here for whatever you need, you can count on us for absolutely anything.

Yesterday, the 11th, was my last final of the quarter, and it feels soooo great to be done for the summer! Since nobody else notices, I am so proud of myself for doing pretty good in my classes this quarter! Yay for me! Hopefully I'll finish with my degree someday...sooner than later, I hope!
Today, the 12th, Anissa Martinez and Felipe Gomez IV (my amazing niece and nephew) graduated from Kindergarten!! Although this may not seem like a big deal, it is! It seems like it was just yesterday; Anissa born weighing in at a little more than 8 lbs and welly, well God sent him as a surprise a couple months before his due date. We were so scared for both him and his mom, and now look at him, 6 years later, graduating without a single health problem; may all the glory and victory be in the name of my Lord God!! Anyways, I am so proud of you two, you have many many more years to come to graduate from high school, but I know if you guys stick with it and put God as your priority, we will one day see you walking down to recieve your diploma!! That is of course, if Jesus doesn't come for us first!

Anywho...these are a couple of things that have been going on lately, not to mention that I finished working at the Boys & Girls club and have begun my work in Othello...Please pray that God accompanies me on my trip to and from Othello everyday.

Well, it's a long one, but you have to understand...a lot has happend in the last couple of days!! If you dont take anything out of this blog, the only thing I want you to notice and read and completely take as your own is to remember:
GOD LOVES YOU AND WANTS THE BEST FOR YOU ALWAYS!!

"A Jugar PELOTA!!!" This is what my nephew Joshua said at the Mariner's game on Saturday, once in a life time experience, and so of course, Abner and I had to go see him! We had a great time this weekend in Seattle, went to the game on saturday, then Sunday, the 1st, was Abner's birthday...Happy Birthday Hun :) God has blessed us with so many things so far, and another year of life is just another wonderful blessing! I thank God that he put you in my life everyday, you are the best partner to have at my side! Whether we're out in Seattle or just at home taking a nap, I love every second I spend with you and I wouldnt trade it for the world!
Back to the game...it was awesome, we had great seats, Joshua did a perfect job yelling so loud, the mariners WON, we got free hats that said MARINEROS (it was salute to Latin American Beisbol Day), and I got my hat signed by one of the players!! Fun times! Here are a couple of pictures from this weekend.

Teachers are GREAT!

Yesterday, our church celebrated National Teacher Day for all of the Sunday School teachers. I felt so special...I teach the 5 and 6 years old in my church and love it! Although, at times, they can be too much to handle, most times they're great and I really enjoy what I do. Anyways, my students moms' decided to get my assistant and I some really cool bags that have all of my students names on them...they are adorable, and we absolutely loved them! We also got certificates from the Sunday School leadership and we had an absolute amazing lunch...it was, in the words of Dora the Explorer, "Delicioso!"

My dad also made me an amazing BBQ just b/c I asked him too :) Thanks Dad, ur the best, and that food was G-R-E-A-T!!! Not to mention, one of the best watermelons ever was also served and devoured...here are a couple of pictures from the weekend.

Let the B-B-Quing begin!

Yesterday it was in the 80's...today supposed to be in the 90's...all I can say to that is...Gentlemen...start your BBQ's!!!!! BBQ meat is my absolute favorite with rice, and potato salad...mmmm...makes me salivate just thinking of it! Kinda like Pavlov's dog, when he would started salivating at the sight of food...that's me with BBQ!! So to all of you reading, I tell you, I'll put the BBQ grill and the sides, you bring the meat, and lets do ourselves one mean BBQ!

So ok, this picture was taken late winter, early spring when it was still cold, but you get the hint! These are some of the best bbq-ers I know! My brothers and my Husband whom I love all dearly!
